Roth IRAs
Roth IRAs have many benefits. Roth IRAs may
have more benefits than traditional IRAs. There are many ways
you can open Roth IRAs. However, not everyone is
eligible to open a Roth IRA account. There are strict Roth IRA
rules on eligibility as well as contributions and
distributions. You can open as many Roth IRAs as you like as
long as the total contribution to your Roth IRAs does not
exceed the IRA limit, which include the Roth IRA limits, set
forth by the IRS. Any Roth IRA rules violations will be
penalized and taxed.
Roth IRA Contribution Limits
Individuals whose MAGI falls within a
certain range may not be able to contribute up to the full Roth
IRA contribution limit. These individuals must use a formula to
determine the maximum amount they may contribute to a Roth IRA.
(The Roth IRA contribution limits are different for different
tax years.
An individual who earns less than the Roth IRA limits can
contribute up to 100% of his or her compensation or the Roth
IRA contribution limit, whichever is lesser.
